LAW Magnet named a Magnet Demonstration School of America!
Our LAW Magnet Program was named a Magnet Schools of America Demonstration School in August of 2025.
E.L. Wright Middle School Magnet Program, Leadership Academy at Wright, has met the criteria to become Nationally Certified-Demonstration!
As a Nationally Certified-Demonstration Magnet School, your school demonstrated through evidence, reflection, and strategic action, that you have established the Standards of Excellence in your school and fulfilled a commitment to your community stakeholders.
Magnet Schools of America (MSA), the national association of magnet and theme-based schools, created this national certification process designed to recognize the most exemplary magnet schools in the nation and help them as they continue to grow and provide high-quality, innovative curriculum and instructional programs that promote choice, equity, diversity, and academic excellence for all students. The certification process is based on the five pillars of magnet schools and the National Magnet School Standards of Excellence. These standards define the essential elements and characteristics of high-quality magnet programs.

E.L.Wright's Orchestra awarded SCMEA Junior Gold Outstanding Performance Award
Our E. L. Wright Orchestra program has earned the South Carolina Music Educators Association Orchestra Division Junior Gold Outstanding Performance Award for the 2024-2025 school year!!!!
This is a huge honor; we are one of only 13 schools in the state of SC, and the only Richland 2 school, that earned this award this year!
To earn this award, your school’s orchestra program demonstrated a high level of proficiency in all areas of scholastic musicianship. Points were earned and accumulated through your program’s success in Region & All-State Orchestra, Concert Performance Assessment, and Solo & Ensemble.
